I specifically looked for and bought this exact model because it gives me more flexibility with cookware. If all your pots and pans are induction-compatible, you can confidently go for a fully induction cooktop instead of a combo model. Nice design, easy to clean, cooking is a real pleasure. The induction really wowed me. Now that’s some tech wizardry... The timer only turns off the induction zones; on the ceramic ones it just starts beeping obnoxiously and gets on your nerves. |
My wife saw an amazing cooktop with induction zones at a friend’s place and decided we should upgrade our kitchen with something like that. New appliances are great, and our gas stove really could be replaced since it’s pretty outdated and a bit worn out. But it turned out that because of how induction heating works, we’d have to replace not only the cooktop, but also a big part of the cookware we use on it. Another not-so-pleasant surprise was the need to install a dedicated electrical line for the cooktop. Luckily, we found a compromise that combines the benefits of two fundamentally different heating methods. The main advantage of this not exactly cheap model is that it combines induction and traditional zones with standard radiant ribbon heaters. That way, you can use any cookware on this cooktop. The induction zones with Power Boost heat incredibly fast. It feels like they match a powerful electric kettle in how quickly they bring water to a boil. The traditional zones are slower, but for everyday cooking they’re no worse than a gas stove. The touch controls are simple and convenient. There’s a timer with automatic shutoff. When using induction zones at high power, you’ll hear a characteristic chattering sound and a hum. It turns out these sounds are normal for induction cooktops. On glass-ceramic cooktops, food can burn and char easily, and if you don’t remove it right away, it can be a problem later. |
I absolutely don’t recommend buying this model. All the reviews about this “amazing cooktop” looked suspiciously positive. We fell for them, and now we regret it. The cooktop barely responds to the controls! After a month of hassle, we decided to use the warranty. Turns out it can’t be repaired in our city because there’s no control board available for it. The online store told us to contact the service center, but before we bought it they said the warranty was through their store. Long story short, the technician visit turned out to be paid. And the craziest part is that neither the store nor the service center has any spare parts at all! The technician decided the main board is defective—and according to him, the whole batch is. Yet he’s trying to talk us into keeping it for now and just putting up with it, tapping the touch buttons that only work every other time! |
