Welcome back!

We have always associated Zalman with unusual cooling systems, beautiful and expensive cases. Then problems rained down on her, the vector changed to simpler things, and the company's products were praised and recommended not so often. Fortunately, a couple of years ago, the black stripe was left behind and Zalman began to demonstrate its former greatness.

Efficiency 83%

For example, the Zalman Wattbit XE model was officially released in the fall of 2019 and, in fact, took a confident place in the top of low-cost power supplies in a year. Its high-quality electronics by the standards of low-cost models, high-quality cooling with a pair of internal ridges and a rather quiet cooler speak in its favor. According to the manufacturer, there is a 5% voltage margin, that is, at the peak, Wattbit can deliver up to 525 – 530 watts. With a typical load of half the power, the efficiency reaches 83%, but if you fire it up to full, then the conversion efficiency drops to 78.9%,

Works like a clock

He shows himself great in work: the unit does not buzz, the chokes do not whistle, the voltage is stable, the pulsations are moderate, there are no drawdowns as such. Other goodies include high-quality and rather long wires and a braided cable. In general, Wattbit XE managed to pleasantly surprise and, frankly, it is not entirely clear who will now buy some unreliable Aerocool Value Plus or much less interesting Chieftec Smart A8 for the same money.
