Zalman TX II is designed in ATX form factor and rated for a power of 500W, of which about 450W is allocated to the main 12-volt line. It is positioned by the manufacturer as an inexpensive option for systems with a single graphics card and a moderately loaded processor, where extended power capabilities are not required, but stability and low noise levels are important. The energy efficiency corresponds to the basic 80 PLUS standard, with a declared efficiency reaching 86% under typical load. Cables are non-modular but sufficiently flexible and long for installation in most typical cases.

The absence of support for ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 makes it less suitable for the newest graphics cards, yet for previous generation solutions, it is quite a rational choice. Cooling is handled by a quiet 120mm fan with a reliable hydrodynamic bearing, allowing the unit to maintain low noise levels even under increased loads. At low power consumption, the fan operates almost silently and does not interfere with the acoustic comfort of the entire system. Under continuous load above 90%, the device may become noticeably warm and noisy, so the manufacturer recommends leaving a small power reserve and installing it in systems with a total power consumption not exceeding 400W.
