The Japanese company Yamaha, named after its founder Thorakusu Yamaha, has been known worldwide for more than 100 years as a manufacturer of premium musical instruments and acoustic equipment. The FSX800C electric acoustic guitar is one of the entry models of the new FSX series, introduced in 2017.
Faithful companion
The guitar has a reduced ergonomic shape "grand concert" thinner than the standard by 10 mm, which makes it comfortable to play, both standing and sitting, and the lower "cutaway" provides access to the upper frets. The top is made of solid spruce, while the back and sides are made of nato and okume laminate, an African wood with high moisture resistance and musical characteristics similar to poplar wood.
The 20-fret nato neck with walnut fingerboard doesn't disappoint either. It is comfortable and reliable, and requires almost no truss adjustment, like almost all Yamaha necks. In general, the guitar is designed for fingerstyle, and its compactness will appeal to girls and often touring musicians.
The manufacturer did not forget about several colour schemes. In addition to natural, there is also red and sand colour, so there are plenty to choose from.
Pick up and play
The instrument received wide customization options, thanks to the proprietary System 66 tone block. We have volume control, 3 bands of an equalizer with a parametric middle and a tuner. The guitar sounds excellent, very juicy, bright and rich, while being clean and with great resonance.
The Yamaha FSX800C is easy and fun to learn for beginners, and a reliable and stylish companion for live musicians. For complete happiness, it remains to buy a strap, a pair of picks, a cable and, of course, a case, so that the instrument will live for a long time and please with its sound.
