Quick and easy assembly
The manufacturer Wild Country positions the Coshee Micro tent as an excellent single-person solution for beginner hikers. It will not cause any trouble in assembly, since it provides an external frame consisting of two aluminium arches located in parallel with a thickness of 8.5 mm. Plus, both awnings (outer and inner) are placed together at once, which only speeds up and simplifies the installation process. The far from perfect wind resistance parameters of the half-barrel form factor here are more than offset by the overall low profile of the structure (height 63 cm). In addition, there are braces at the front and rear for added stability, and thanks to the reflective coating, they are clearly visible in the dark.
For hiking in 3 seasons
Wild Country Coshee Micro is “sharpened” specifically for trekking use. The model weighs about 1.4 kg and takes up minimal space in a backpack. What's more, the 36x14x14 cm (equivalent to 7 liters) dimensions in the bag are among the smallest on the market and even inferior to many cocoon sleeping bags. The outer awning and the bottom of the tent are made of dense polyester with good water resistance (respectively 4000 and 5000 mm of water column). This, usually, is enough to "get out of the water" both with short but intense summer rains and with prolonged light off-season precipitation.
Other chips
The only lateral elongated entrance, duplicated by a mosquito net, leads to the sleeping area of the model. Inside there are pockets and ventilation windows with a wind flap. The berth is close to the travel standard of 60 cm (65 cm) in width, but the height of 55 cm leaves much to be desired. Moreover, this feature will probably not be liked not only by those who are afraid of confined spaces. If this is not critical for you, then the Wild Country Coshee Micro is a worthwhile choice and almost no alternative among single tents with an external frame.
