Don’t be fooled by its low price; for most tasks, like checking cable continuity or measuring resistance, it can also check the charge of both household and automotive batteries.
It so happened that about a year later, the dial in the off position died in my unit, so I had to modify it a bit and install a switch for turning the device on and off. And you know what? It turned out even better than the original. It adds character to it.
I also had to modify the original wires and solder them onto the probes and connectors, as this turned out to be their weak point.
As a power source, the device uses a 9V battery. To access it, you need to completely remove the back cover, which is secured with two screws. But you don’t need to worry about that; a quality 9V battery in these tools will last you for years.
Overall, as I said, a multimeter should be in every home, and this option is quite good, considering that it is currently sold in some stores for 150 UAH.
