The VIOFO A129 Duo GPS car recorder provides a complete picture of what is happening around the vehicle, which is achieved thanks to the two-channel video recording mode.
Head unit
The main character in the design of the model is the head unit, installed on the windshield behind the rear view mirror. For front video recording, it is responsible for a combination of a Sony IMX307 image sensor and a powerful Novatek NTK96660 processor (it is approximately on the same level as the Ambarella A12). The main camera of the device is capable of recording videos in a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels at 60 fps. The correct exposure of the video sequence is ensured by the WDR function, which compensates for strong differences in illumination in the frame.
Remote rear view camera
Out of the box , the VIOFO A129 Duo GPS is equipped with an external camera for viewing the rear hemisphere. It is attached to the inner surface of the rear window of the car, and filming with an additional camera is also carried out in Full HD format. Note that in dual-channel recording mode, the frame rate of the main camera drops to 30 fps - you can squeeze out the notorious 60 fps from it only if you turn off the remote module to cover the rear stern.
Onboard communications
