Quiet and reliable HDD. It has been running for almost 2 years. Most of the time, it's connected to a laptop in "improvised desktop" mode but has proven itself well on trips and outings - it handles falls wonderfully (I didn't throw it on purpose, but it has flown in a backpack or on the table from a height of about 30cm), and even while working, it withstands jolts and other things that can kill an HDD (I watched movies on the plane and tapped on the table during active work with files on the HDD). I'm very pleased with it; it's compact and reliable. In almost 2 years of active use, it hasn't slowed down, and there are few bad sectors. To those complaining about the non-standard connector, thickness, etc. - folks, the analog with type-c costs twice as much! Of course, it would be nice if it had a simple and more common usb-c, but remember the price. (And the competitor is even larger in all dimensions lol). Or, if you're not happy with the size, you can take it out of the case and get the most standard external HDD. Mediocre branded utilities - the idea is good, but the implementation could be better (although respect for the one-click backup feature). The rubber collects dust and dirt well, making it difficult to clean. (This can be solved by removing the case, but then the "protection" of the external drive is lost.) |
The Samsung TV (5 series) does not recognize it while it sees 700 Gigs. housing Need to reformat to NTFS The USB output does not inspire confidence in its reliability |
Backup button - a pointless addition. At least for me, as I don't use this drive for backups, just as a flash drive for sharing movies with friends and watching them on TV afterward. But it might be useful for someone. I liked the drive - fast, quiet, does not heat up. Not once has it let me down in several months of use. Good protection - rubberized casing and silicone gasket. Dropped it a couple of times and nothing happened. Supports USB 3.0 - the speed is really impressive. There's a model with a terabyte capacity, you can take a whole media library with you. It pairs well with Samsung TVs. Absolutely silent in operation. You can't hear anything even when you put your ear to the casing. The design is so-so. Although, what else can you expect from a rugged device... But they could have offered a more appealing color. Or done like Apple - several options to choose from. use Transcend StoreJet 25H3 2.5" month or more i recommend it should buy |

Protected housing according to military standard
Transcend StoreJet 25H3 kills two birds with one stone — it allows you not only to archive and save everything in the world (fortunately, 4 TB gives room for manoeuvre), but also to securely protect data.
The Transcend StoreJet 25H3 has been tested to military standard MIL-STD-810 and is able to safely withstand drops from a height of 1.2 metres. The 3-layer case design consists of an outer silicone sleeve, an impact-resistant plastic shroud, and a protective rubber bumper that wraps around the drive inside the case.Copy speed 90 Mb/s
Hidden inside the shroud is a 4TB drive that runs on USB 3.1 Gen1 and is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0. According to synthetic tests, the average speed of reading and writing large files in one stream is approximately 90 Mb / s, which is a good indicator for such a drive. Of the minuses, one can single out only a strong drop in speed when copying to several streams. However, in the case of external hard drives, such a scenario is extremely rare and it would be wrong to write it down as a minus.
Thoughtful ergonomics
Traditionally, for external drives from Transcend, you can find a small button on the front panel that puts the drive into power saving mode or starts automatic data backup. Using the extremely convenient Transcend Elite application, you can set custom copy patterns for this button, including specific time intervals and specific sections of the disc. From the outside, this may seem like a trifle, but it greatly simplifies life.
