The Tramp brand tent will weigh a backpacker's luggage by 3.3 kg, which is the average value for trekking double models. Relative lightness gives a pair of fibreglass arcs with a diameter of 8.5 mm. Such a frame has an average level of reliability, but if you avoid excessively windy places for a halt, then it handles well with its functions.
High rates of water protection
There are two versions of Tramp Scout on the market: basic and updated V2. The latter differs only in water resistance indicators improved by 1000 mm. But even the early version, with a resistance at the bottom of 7000 mm of water column and at the awning of 5000 mm, is ready even for showers.
The polyester fabrics of the model are flame retardant and UV protected. Reinforced corners help prevent material breaks at weak points. All this makes the tent suitable for three seasons of use: from spring to autumn.
Comfort in operation
Tramp Scout 2 is equipped with a pair of entrances, which increases the convenience of users: you can exit without disturbing the sleeper. Each opening is complemented by a mosquito net that protects against annoying insects, and a small vestibule, which fits a tourist backpack with a volume of about 100 liters. For ventilation, there are two special windows, closed if necessary with wind valves.
An area of 210x150 cm is offered for a place to sleep, so it will not be crowded for two. Inside, there are internal pockets and a shelf for storing personal items, there is a loop for hanging a lantern.
The disadvantages of a 2-man tent include unsuccessful pegs. According to users, they are too small, bend easily and cause inconvenience if you need to install the Tramp Scout on dry and hard ground. Otherwise, the model is fully consistent with its price and is able to become a practical and comfortable temporary home for tourists.
