Toshiba's self-cleaning system prevents moisture from accumulating on the heat exchanger, preventing mold from forming inside the air conditioner. When you turn off your air conditioner, the indoor unit fan runs for another 20 minutes, drying the heat exchanger, after which it turns off automatically.
