Full HD mid-range TV with a high-quality 43-inch screen, SMART functionality and support for HDR content. This is a 2017 model with decent hardware and an advanced SMART software shell. The Sony KDL-43WE755 screen has a diagonal size of 108 centimeters, which at a resolution of 1920x1080 gives a pixel density of 20 pixels / cm or 52 ppi. IPS-matrix with EdgeLED-backlit, provides an impressive maximum brightness of up to 400 cd/m², a static contrast ratio of 1000:1 and the maximum possible comfortable viewing angles of 178 degrees. The screen refresh rate is 60 Hz (and, at first glance, this is not very impressive), but thanks to the support of Motionflow XR frame interpolation technology, fast movement on the screen looks crisp and smooth as if the actual refresh rate was 200 Hz. The Sony...KDL-43WE755 TV is equipped with a simple but effective two-channel speaker system (2x5 W) with support for Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Pulse and DTS Digital Surround. There is an optical output for an external receiver. Sony SMART TV is based on a Linux-like operating system. It allows you to quickly switch from digital broadcasting via a tuner (DVB-T / T2, DVB-C, DVB-S / S2) to streaming services via the network, and there is even a separate button on the remote control to quickly launch the Youtube application. Access to network content can be obtained by a standard cable connection to Ethernet LAN or by organizing a wireless channel through the built-in Wi-Fi adapter.

All  specifications

The TV was released by Sony in 2017. As for panels with a 43-inch diagonal and Full HD, the model is quite popular, although it already belongs to the middle price category.

The Sony KDL-43WE755 screen is framed by a thin metal frame, and the U-shaped stand provides the panel with balance and a stylish appearance. When wall mounting using a 100x200 mm VESA mount, you need to take into account the presence of an external rectangular power supply.

Bright display with excellent colour reproduction

The TV is equipped with an 8-bit matrix and Edge LED backlight. Such a tandem gives high image brightness and high-quality colour reproduction with a natural, but at the same time saturated colour gamut. With support for HDR when playing appropriate content, these benefits are even more pronounced. By the way, this functionality together with low input lag makes the panel a good choice for gamers.

If you look at the screen from the side, the image quality only slightly deteriorates, and when the light is turned off, light areas (highlights) may appear on a dark picture.

The TV smoothly reproduces dynamic scenes, for which Motionflow XR interpolation technology is responsible, “squeezing” the frame rate up to 400 fps from the base refresh rate of 50 Hz.

Smart TV

The Sony KDL-43WE755 is based on the Opera TV operating system. It has a rustic and not the most convenient interface, but a smart video player and browser. The downside of the platform is the small selection of available applications, limited to a few online cinemas and YouTube. To view IPTV, you will have to additionally buy a media player.

The disadvantages of the Sony KDL-43WE755 include weak sound power (two 5 W speakers). However it offers a separate subwoofer output and mini-Jack for connecting external speakers. The model will definitely appeal to connoisseurs of cinema and games, but demanding Smart TV users will probably pay attention to the 43-inch panels of competitors.
