Sony knows a lot about TVs. Its flagship representatives of the BRAVIA line display a picture with a high degree of realism, and the functional Android OS is used as a software shell on board. All this applies to the KD-43XD8099, which, although it costs more than competitors in the class, has much more to offer.
Image quality
The key element in the design of the TV is a VA-matrix with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. Not only does it support high dynamic range output (HDR technology), but in addition, the panel covers 96% of the DCI-P3 colour space, which is only a tiny bit short of the full coverage of the colour gamut of digital cinemas. Naturally, with such data, the quality of the broadcast picture deserves only positive ratings.
Broadcast
The model has three digital tuners for receiving terrestrial (DVB-T2), cable (DVB-C) and satellite (DVB-S/S2) signals. The source of content can also be network media libraries or external drives (for example, flash drives or HDD). In the latter case, the AndroidTV interface plays into the hands of the TV owner, since among the many various applications in the Play Market, there is sure to be something that will read the required file format.
mod
Sony KD-43XD8099 does not graze the back in terms of design either. A special line in its appearance is distinguished by an elegant curving stand, which gives the impression that the TV is floating above the surface. And the thin bezels around the display (1.1 mm on top and 1.3 mm on the sides) simply become invisible to the eye from a distance of several metres.
Facilities
Additional ways to control the wide functionality of the TV are represented by support for voice and gesture input, as well as the ability to connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to the model. And the remote control itself with separate access keys to the Google Play Market app store and the Netflix video streaming service is no less convenient to use. Entering characters with it is implemented by analogy with push-button mobile phones, which allows you to forget about the need to type text on the on-screen keyboard.

Advanced Contrast Enhancer
The Advanced Contrast Enhancer optimizes contrast in every scene by varying the backlight intensity to capture the finest levels of gradation. This allows us to see deeper blacks, even in dimly lit scenes.
24p True Cinema
This mode allows you to watch movies as they were conceived by the director himself — on a large screen with a frequency of 24 frames per second. Until quite recently, the movies we watched at home played faster than in theaters. Because a movie that is shown on TV or sold on DVD needs to be adjusted to fit the PAL format. The difference is that movies are shot at 24 frames per second, while television standard is 25 frames per second.
