Samyang 18mm f/2.8

Lightweight and compact wide-angle prime lens for the cavalry of Sony mirrorless cameras, both with a full-frame image sensor and with an APS-C cropped sensor. Together with full-frame cameras, the Samyang 18mm f/2.8 provides a field of view of about 100°, and with APS-C cameras - at the level of 76°. The value of the maximum aperture for the lens is f / 2.8. The optical scheme of the model is assembled from 9 glass lenses, which are combined in 8 groups.

Of these, three elements are aspherical, two are high refractive index (HR), and three are extra low dispersion (ED). The model also uses an anti-reflective coating UMC. The design of the aperture of a fixed lens is 7-blade. For focusing in automatic mode, a linear STM motor is used. The lens is focused from a distance of 25 cm. Light filters with a diameter of 58 mm can be attached to the front lens of the width. The lens body measures 63.5 mm in diameter and 60.5 mm in length. The model weighs only 145 g.
