P.S. It turned out that the device is often offline due to poor compatibility with Wi-Fi wpa2/wpa3 working mode. The "smart" socket constantly reconnects, which is resolved by switching to wpa2 only. So, if you want a connection, use the older security protocol. in the previous message it's a shame that EK doesn't allow you to edit a review to add or correct it. |
I've been using the Proove Rapid Smart Socket PD-02 EU 1AC for over a year. Initially, everything worked as it should. You can turn the power on/off according to a schedule. It has a USB-C and a regular USB with nominal fast charging capabilities. The device sat unused for a while, and when I started using it again, I noticed it stopped measuring current and therefore kilowatts. It now only shows voltage. I think I tried resetting the device and reconnecting it to the app, but that didn't help. Then it started losing connection with the app on my phone more frequently. A message would just appear saying it's offline, and after some time, it would restore itself (the internet connection is fine during this time). Sometimes it started missing the scheduled power on/off for the socket. So, it might be better to choose something more expensive for a chance of better performance.
