The Viva Collection by Philips offers small appliances designed to simplify various kitchen tasks. The HD 4678 electric kettle fully complies with this concept.

Fast and efficient

The Philips HD 4678 only holds 1.2 liters (4 cups), but thanks to the high power of the heating element (2400 W), it brings water to a boil in less than 4 minutes.

Since the kettle has a thermostat, in addition to boiling, it can be used to get hot water necessary for brewing various types of tea (herbal, white, green, oolong, etc.) and coffee. On the body of the device there is a mechanical switch with three marks (80, 90 and 100 degrees) to select the optimal heating.

The function of maintaining the temperature in the model is not provided.

Stylish, lightweight, compact

Philips HD 4678 is made in a pleasant white and lilac colours. The teapot differs in the compact sizes that is explained by rather small volume. The lightness and practicality of the model is provided by a plastic case, which, however, causes an unpleasant smell at the beginning of operation.

Visualization in operation is given by two water level indicators located on both sides of the body. Maintaining the kettle is easy with a descaling filter and a hinged lid for easy access to the inside of the flask for cleaning. The liquid can be poured inside through the spout.

As an indication during operation, the power button is illuminated. There is also a system for winding the cord, shutdown in the absence of water, swivel base.

Philips HD 4678 is a good choice for bachelors or small families who love and understand different types of tea. The model is relatively inexpensive, and the name of the manufacturer is responsible for the quality and reliability.
