I've been using the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4500 for some time, and I can say the toothbrush is really good. It has two modes — standard and "whitening." The brush heads are very easy to change, and the BrushSync system reminds you when it's time to replace them, which is convenient because you don't have to think about the timing. By the way, non-original heads also fit. The battery lasts quite a long time, about two weeks with twice-daily use. The charging station is compact; you place the brush on it, and it charges. It would be nice to have a case included, since it's not very convenient to take it on trips without one, but that's a minor issue. In terms of noise, it's not quiet, with a sound typical of ultrasonic brushes, but it's not annoying. The pressure sensor really works: if you press too hard, the brush warns you with vibration, which helps to prevent gum damage. Overall, the brush is successful: easy to use, effective, practical. It's not top-premium or "space technology," but for daily care, it's just what you need. Cleans well, holds a charge for a long time, two modes. Not cheap.
