Philips PowerPro Compact FC 8471 (FC8471/01)
![]() | Outdated Product First of all, we note that the device is based on a cyclone system with a 1.5-liter dust collector — this is by no means a lot like for a modern model, but its filling does not affect suction power, as happens with classic bags. At the same time, a 1700 W motor is capable of providing suction power at the level of 330 W. The kit includes only the most necessary brushes: combined, crevice and for upholstered furniture. Finally, let's pay attention to the HEPA fine filter. E-Catalog uses affiliate links compensated by our partners. |

How to Choose a Robot Vacuum: For Houses, Apartments, Dry and Wet CleaningA complete guide to choosing a robot vacuum cleaner: features, navigation, cleaning stations, and tips.

How to choose a vacuum cleaner for your homeWe understand the types of vacuum cleaners, types of cleaning, dust collectors, power and other selection criteria
A small, quite lightweight vacuum cleaner, visually appealing. It is not very expensive. Cleans very well for its type of machines. It works well under furniture, on carpets, and also cleans books and gaps in linoleum effectively, handling all surfaces normally. It buzzes typically, no more than most vacuum cleaners. The filters are good, you can really feel the air freshen after cleaning. The attachment on the tube is inconvenient, too tight; I can't insert and disassemble it on the first try. It's a bit bothersome to have to wash the bowl and dry it and the filters after each cleaning, which takes up a lot of space in the bathroom for a long time; especially in winter, it dries poorly. A couple of times I postponed cleaning, and when I was ready to tidy up, it turned out that everything needed to be washed first and then wait. The package is limited. use Philips PowerPro Compact FC 8471 month or more i recommend it should buy |
I read many rave reviews. I wanted to buy it. I checked where and for how much I could buy a replacement HEPA filter. Not available online. I called the official Philips store, and they said they don't have filters for these vacuum cleaners and don't know when they will. Guys, how are you planning to use this vacuum cleaner in a year or two when the HEPA filter becomes unusable (even though it is washable)? There's a lot of useful information online about the interaction of cyclone-type vacuums with a HEPA filter - due to physical processes, this interaction is extremely detrimental to the latter, so you can't count on a long lifespan for it in cyclone vacuums. So far, only good reviews :) The absence of spare HEPA filters for this vacuum cleaner on the market. |
The reason might be the suction power. This Philips vacuumed up all the dust that the old vacuum couldn't, and there turned out to be a lot, so the filters got clogged. However, I strongly suspect that it's not about that, but rather due to a different working principle (bagged and cyclonic). So I'll continue struggling with cleaning these filters. So "think for yourself, decide for yourself." Powerful, it sucks up dust like a beast. I didn't expect that there would be consumables, let alone such expensive ones. It is recommended to change the filters once a year, and they cost from 350 UAH. The disposable bags for my old Rowenta cost me less. Cleaning the container and filters turned out to be a messy job. A finger-thick layer of dust gathered on the foam filter, and I shook out a pile of dust from the HEPA filter too, after just one cleaning of my 56 sq. m. two-room apartment. It turned out that changing the disposable bag in my old bagged Rowenta was much more convenient and hygienic, and the two filters there got much less dirty. I washed them once every three cleanings. just bought Philips PowerPro Compact FC 8471 i recommend it don't buy |
