Pretty light iron weighing only 1.26 kg. Classic design, traditional construction based on well-known and proven technical solutions. In the Philips PowerLife GC 2996 iron, the designers have provided vertical steaming and eco modes. The latter is very convenient when ironing fresh clothes that have not had time to dry yet. But for difficult cases, there is a constant supply of steam, a steam boost function and a spray function to pre-moisten the fabric.

The capacity of the water tank is 320 mL, the water consumption during the steam boost is at the level of 150 g/min and 40 g/min in the continuous steam mode. The water supply system includes anti-scale protection, self-cleaning and anti-drip devices. There is also a self-shutoff function in the event that the iron is not used for some time, which is mandatory according to modern safety standards. In the manufacture of the soleplate of the iron, SteamGlide technology was used, thanks to which it was possible to achieve good sliding and reduce the load on the operator.
