A compact household steam iron with a 1300 mL water tank and a 1.6 m long hose. It is positioned by the manufacturer as an inexpensive solution for ironing various types of fabrics. First of all, it is intended for clothes made of dense and well-creased natural fibers. It features good steam output, resistance to scale formation and high-quality ceramic coating of the soleplate. Ceramic has high hardness and scratch resistance, has non-stick properties and is easy to clean.

Thanks to this coating, the Philips FastCare Compact GC 6709 steam iron is able to glide effortlessly over all types of fabrics, making it easier and less labor intensive. The mode of constant regulated supply of steam provides a consumption up to 110 g/min. This is enough to cope with the folds even on the most dense fabric. And for especially difficult situations, a steam boost function is provided (up to 200 g / min).

It is especially useful for vertical steaming, such as curtains or clothes on hangers. The maximum water pressure provided by the built-in pump reaches 5.2 bar. Smart Calc-Clean technology automatically reminds you of the need for descaling, which is performed using a special complete container. Due to the high power of the heater (2400 W), the steam generator-iron quickly enters the mode, and the light and sound signal reminds you of readiness for work.
