Ultralight backpack

As for its 60-liter volume, the Osprey backpack is characterized by its light weight. The figure of 900 grams is approximately 2 – 3 less than that of the main competitors and is one of the best values on the market. The brand line also includes a female variation of the Lumina 60, which weighs a little less — 810 g.

The low weight of Osprey Levity 60 is achieved through the use of lightweight fittings and a special nylon material — NanoFly 210D. Despite the lightness and relatively small thickness, this composition is characterized by high tensile strength (reinforced ripstop weaving is used).

The convenience of a traditional hiking solution

The backpack received a rigid frame with a metal frame and a ventilated AirSpeed suspension system. With it, as users note, even in hot weather, the back does not sweat. The suspension provides quality tension and, together with traditional fixation solutions (shoulder straps, waist belt and chest strap), contributes to the effective distribution of loads.

Accordingly, the weight in the region of 15 kg is practically not felt on the shoulders. However it is important to first choose the right model for growth, because the backrest is not regulated accordingly. Three versions are available for sale for different sizes: S, M and L.

Spacious pockets

The interesting features of the Osprey Levity 60 include the presence of large additional pockets. From the front there is a large elastic pocket (crab pocket). Here, if necessary, fit a jacket, food or other things. Two more open spacious compartments are located on the sides. Moreover, there is enough space not only for a bottle of water, but also for other equipment, and for greater ease of loading / unloading, the usual top access is supplemented with a rear one.

In addition, there is an elastic cord on the sides, equipment loops and a small zippered pocket on the outside of the top flap. And opening the latter provides the only entrance to the main compartment. It has a holder for a drinking system and a hole for the output of tubes. Outside there are reflective elements.

The disadvantage of the model is easily soiled colours. But the metal frame is removable so the backpack can be washed. The downside of the Osprey Levity 60 is the high price, although for experienced light hikers and all those who want to use one of the lightest hiking backpacks, the difference in cost against the background of conventional solutions will be fully justified.
