Almost all the flagship positions in the market of household blood pressure monitors, without the slightest twinge of conscience, were occupied by Omron products. One such advanced device is the Omron MIT Elite Plus.

Appearance

At first glance, the device attracts attention due to its unusual appearance. Unlike most colleagues in the shop, the colours of the huge screen and the numbers for displaying the measurement results have changed places — the data is displayed as white characters on a black background. The backlight helps to distinguish readings in conditions of insufficient lighting or at night.

Useful Features

The device is "pumped" with useful functions to the eyeballs. For example, in its arsenal there is a motion sensor that will tell you about the need to re-measure blood pressure when the user's movements are detected during the measurements. An even more useful role is played by the functions of warning about increased pressure (over 135/85 mm Hg) and determining the uneven contractions of the heart muscle (arrhythmias).

Data handling

Omron MIT Elite Plus stores up to 90 measurements in memory, and the average value is calculated from the last three measurements taken within 10 minutes. Thus, maximum reliability of blood pressure readings is achieved. You can operate data more finely on a computer — after pairing with a PC, a proprietary application provides access to ordering the measurement results, their processing and printing. But not every elderly person will be able to figure out how to work with the application.

Multifunctionality

The expensive cost of the model can hardly be attributed to significant shortcomings. Rather, it is a payment for the multifunctionality of the tonometer. Indeed, in addition to the most accurate determination of pressure and pulse, the device is also universal in terms of receiving power — its nodes are powered either by four AA batteries or from the mains.
