Live view on the LCD monitor takes mirror photography to an exciting new level. Convince your photos are sharp with unprecedented precision - the ability to view images on the 2.5”/6.4cm HyperCrystal monitor at 6x or 10x magnification ensures manual focus is easy and sharpness is exactly where you need it. Autofocus, at the same time, is easily activated with the AEL button - a quick return of the mirror will allow the AF sensors to work out and shooting can continue. In addition, superior image processing speed enables 3fps continuous shooting with up to six RAW shots, so you don't have to worry about losing a good shot.

Comfort and control

Enjoy the simplicity and convenience of thoughtful design. Controlling both exposure and white balance is made easy with a visual preview directly on the LCD monitor. For the most precise control, there is even a histogram. The E-510 is one of a kind - not only can it satisfy the seasoned professional with a multitude of manual settings, but the amateur will also find 18 scene programs such as Macro or xD Panorama, which can easily capture incredible pictures with the effect of being in the centre of the action. A selection of colour modes and filters for B/W photography add to the list of seductive creative possibilities with this camera.

There are two memory card slots to choose from - CompactFlash and xD-Picture - so Olympus compact camera users can continue to use their memory cards, which, by the way, will be useful when shooting panoramic images. Ten built-in menu languages and the ability to add additional fifteen make the E-510 understandable to everyone. The high-speed Hi-Speed USB connection guarantees very fast transfer of pictures to a computer or photo printer. And, rest assured, great shots are possible even in the most difficult conditions. With bracketing, the E-510 can shoot three shots at different white balance or exposure, and five at different focus positions. It remains only to choose the most successful shots.
