Model overview based on user reviews
The Moulinex Simply Cook Plus MK622132 multi-cooker offers a sleek design and efficient cooking capabilities, such as preparing buckwheat in just 20 minutes. However, users have reported significant issues with the condensate collector, which tends to leak and cause rust and greasy buildup inside the device. The non-stick coating of the bowl is prone to damage, even with gentle cleaning. Additionally, the design around the heating element is flawed, allowing excess condensation to accumulate and potentially damage the unit. While the multi-cooker performs well in cooking tasks, these design flaws and durability concerns make it difficult to recommend without reservations.
Pros
Cons
I ran into the preparation of buckwheat. Non-stick non-stick coating of the bowl, without damaging the condensate collection system. |
Vikoristovala 2 rocks. Condensation from the lid and sometimes the soup flows under the bowl and heating element. When re-soaking the bowl, it is necessary to touch it, because the sawdust from the bottom of the bowl will mercilessly grind against the heating element. Everything inside was rusty, and excess old, greasy condensation was found in the middle of the device when it was disassembled. So the manufacturer has thought through everything except the problem of condensation. Design, garneau ready. The main and significant disadvantage is the condensate collector. The plastic gets scratched when wiped with a soft cloth. |

As a first trial, I cooked buckwheat in it. The multicooker handled the task and cooked the buckwheat in the standard 20 minutes, which I consider a plus, but:
- Firstly, the design of the body is unsuccessful. The recess with the heating element is surrounded by a plastic rim, which supposedly prevents condensation from getting into the cavity and under the heating element. However, more condensation is produced than the manufacturer probably intended, and a paper towel becomes immediately soaked when wiping it off, and then it drips onto the inner wall, with droplets possibly flowing under the heating element. I managed to catch a drop halfway down, but what happens if you don’t notice this or don’t pay attention?
- Secondly, the day after cooking the buckwheat, which is today, I washed the pot and the plastic spoon with a regular sponge and detergent in hot water. After rinsing, I noticed that a small piece of the non-stick coating had chipped off.
I really hope that I just got a defective unit. I'll be going to return it under warranty in the next few days.
