The American company Microlab Electronics has been on the market since 1998. Solo 7C is one of the exemplary examples of the company's powerful competitive product in the niche of acoustic stereo systems.

Design and execution

Design to match the possibilities. No plastic, only MDF board thick enough to eliminate unwanted vibrations (total AC weight 22.4 kg). The rigor of execution is emphasized by the design "under the mahogany".

Below, on the front side of the active speaker is a bright and convenient digital 2-digit volume level indicator. There are 2 phase inverter ports on the rear panel (the speaker housing is divided into two parts inside: separately for bass and midrange speakers) and two pairs of RCA connectors. A removable grill with a thin fabric is securely fastened, it does not create squeaks and rattles even with a powerful “exhaust” from the speakers. The remote control and shielded housing make it easy to choose a place to install, while the Standby mode makes it easy to control. In the modification of the Solo 7C new model, mechanical volume and tone control knobs have been added to the side panel of the main monitor. In 7C, adjustments are made from the remote control.

All necessary wires are included, including cables with gold-plated banana plugs for a more reliable connection.

sound

Power, intelligibility, clarity and flat frequency response — these are the main characteristics of the sound of the Solo 7C. They sound better, perhaps, only more expensive 2.1 systems. Three bands provide reproduction in the frequency range of 50 – 20000 Hz. 6.5-inch polypropylene cone mids and woofers and 1-inch silk tweeters produce high-quality balanced sound without "failures" and will not appeal only to those who are looking for "warm tube sound" in multimedia sound.

Microlab Solo 7C is a confident step closer to the world of professional sound.
