When is a pre-flagship better than a flagship?
The once flagship series of Meizu MX smartphones now occupies an average price position, losing the primacy to the Pro series. Fortunately, the price of the MX6 model has decreased by one and a half times compared to the original one, thanks to which the smartphone has sparkled with new colors. Whatever you say, at the moment this is a camera phone with the largest photo matrix on the market - Sony IMX 386 (1/2.0").
Time for improvement
But in truth, for now the Meizu MX6 takes pictures just like good camera phones with smaller matrices, for example, Huawei Nova with a Sony IMX 286 photo module measuring 1/2.9". Meizu engineers have not yet learned how to programmatically bring the cameras of their smartphones to the ideal. Although it is worth noting that with each successive firmware update, the MX6 begins to photograph better and better.
Round like a bun
Even without the camera, the MX6 is a great smartphone for the price. It has as much as 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of permanent memory, plus a MicroSD slot, although paired with a slot for a second SIM card. And thanks to 2.5D glass, which smoothly flows into a rounded metal body, the smartphone is completely devoid of corners and edges and lies very comfortably in the hand, despite its rather large 5.5-inch diagonal.
Hot stuff
The MX6 has only one drawback - the hot ten-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, which is not only trolled, but also poorly optimized for 3D games. If you need an Android smartphone at a reasonable price, which would resemble the iPhone 7 in body shape and tactile sensations, then your choice is definitely the Meizu MX6 (even the Home button has vibration).
