Electric planer for fine planing

The small power of the Makita M1902 may confuse someone, because 500 W is not so much for an electric planer. But if you work without haste, then this is enough in many cases. This planer has a planing depth of up to 1 mm. Therefore, it should be considered a "finishing" tool for those who carefully and accurately process boards. If you drive the planer slowly and smoothly, then it cuts the wood cleanly, and subsequent surface grinding is most likely not needed. The advantages of a not very powerful motor are relatively quiet (by the standards of this type of tool) operation (95 dB at full speed) and a slight level of vibration.

Nothing extra

This planer captivates with its simplicity and conciseness. There is simply nothing to break in it. The only "excess" is the presence of such a useful device as a folding shoe. It allows you to put the instrument on a table or board without waiting for the rotation to stop. "Native" carbide knives are sold almost everywhere (they can also be found in our catalog of accessories under article D-07945). The reversible blades are straight out of the box and perfectly aligned, so you can get to work as soon as you unpack the tool. The calibration plate that comes with the device will allow you to quickly and accurately set the blades when replacing knives, without contacting a service or more experienced craftsmen.

Red is not the colour of danger

The red-bodied Makita (sometimes sold with Maktec nameplates) are slightly simplified and cheaper versions of the blue instrument of the same brand. The difference is that the "red" planers, drills and grinders are for those who work in home workshops and garages. But they remain the same respected Makita with an appropriate approach to quality and reliability.
