One of the top models of LG's 2021 flagship OLED TV line-up with a 65-inch 4K resolution screen. Positioned as a premium product. It features impeccable image quality, surpassing any LCD-matrix in all respects. Equipped with the innovative 4th generation A9 intelligent processor, running the proprietary operating system webOS 6.0 Smart TV. It can become the basis of a home multimedia and entertainment system and the main element of a full-fledged home theater.

A key feature of the LG OLED65C1 TV is the use of a 10-bit OLED matrix with a resolution of 3840x2160. It consists of individual self-luminous pixels, which completely solves the issue of contrast and uniformity of illumination. With a full display of 30-bit colour and the highest maximum brightness, this model confidently handles with the reproduction of content with a wide dynamic range.

Both open standards HDR10, HLG and premium Dolby Vision are supported. A two-channel audio system with two subwoofers is responsible for the sound of the TV. A universal multi-system tuner is provided that can receive TV broadcasts in DVB-T/T2, DVB-C and DVB-S2 digital formats. LG SMART TV system and built-in high-speed network adapters (Ethernet LAN + Wi-Fi 5) provide convenient access to streaming services.

OLED benefits

Relating to the premium line of LG TV is based on a 65-inch OLED screen. Therefore, it is not only thin (body thickness without stand 47 mm), but also excellent in terms of picture quality.

The LG OLED65C1's self-illuminating pixels provide the highest contrast ratio, turning them off when blacks need to be shown, which looks flawless here. Also, the advantages of OLED include wide viewing angles and excellent colour gamut, due to which any viewer sees a realistic and colorful picture, regardless of his position in front of the screen. The quality of HDR content will also please (the premium Dolby Vision standard is supported here), including due to the increased peak brightness and a more powerful α 9 Gen 4 processor than the younger version of the OLED65B1.

Convenient shell and management

The role of the “smart” platform on the TV is assigned to the proprietary webOS 6.0 OS. Here, the interface has been updated: the menu opens in full screen, and not in the form of a bottom bar, in connection with which the search for applications and content has become even easier. The AirPlay 2 function will allow you to easily broadcast videos and photos from Apple devices. Plus, the TV can become the control centre of the ThinQ smart home.

To interact with the model, an updated Magic Remote is proposed — an air gun that acts as a pointer and is supplemented with a microphone for voice control. And among other features, a 40-watt speaker system should be distinguished, which, due to the subwoofer, creates a balanced sound frequency profile.

Perfect for games

The LG OLED65C1 is among the favorites in terms of gaming performance. The corresponding mode features minimal input lag (from 5.3 ms), turns on automatically (ALLM) and is complemented by the Game Dashboard function for a quick overview of the current game settings.

The 120 Hz matrix is complemented by various synchronization and loop elimination technologies. Among them are the developments of graphics card manufacturers (FreeSync from AMD and G-Sync from NVIDIA), as well as the VRR function, which is responsible for adaptive "tuning" of the frame rate at the level of the HDMI connector. Among the latter, by the way, there is HDMI 2.1, ready to transmit 4K HDR video at 120 Hz.

The shortcomings of the model include not the best factory calibration (manual adjustment will help improve colour accuracy) and the risk of pixel burnout when a static image is displayed for a long time. But even this does not prevent the LG OLED65C1 from claiming (quite deservedly) the title of one of the best TVs on the market.
