Resolution 7680x4320 pixels

The TV is the senior member of LG's QNED line, which will debut on the market in 2021. The main design features of the model (in addition to the thin body) is the Quantum Dot NanoCell matrix and the new Mini LED backlight.

For users, support for Ultra HD 8K resolution is a key advantage, because the corresponding content looks as clear and detailed as possible. Moreover, LG 75QNED99 correctly processes it and outputs it without any noise or artifacts. By the way, while the existing shortage of 8K content is partly leveled by the intelligent scaling function (Upscaling to 8K).

Comfortable as always

The TV received the webOS 6.1 operating system, characterized by the usual speed and stability, a wealth of applications for installation. The interface has become even more convenient, because the smart platform menu opens in a separate window. Along with the model comes the Magic Remote, which works like a pointer and is equipped with a microphone for voice control.

For the audio component in the LG 75QNED99 meets 60-watt acoustics with 4 speakers and two subwoofers. The sound is well balanced in frequencies and quite loud. The gaming potential of the model is revealed by a 120-Hz matrix and four high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports (4K @ 120Hz + HDR or 8K @ 60Hz). A game mode is also available with low input lag at 4K (6.2ms), but input lag is almost 10x higher at 8K content. The disadvantages also include the lack of a VRR function or other frame synchronization technologies.

Bright and rich picture from any angle

The TV performs well in most usage scenarios. Only pleasant impressions will come from watching sports and TV channels even in a well-lit room. And all thanks to the high peak brightness and cool glare processing. Wide colour gamut and Advanced Colour Enhancer function will take care of a juicy picture with a palette of colours, just like in real life. Plus, rather large viewing angles will help you enjoy the picture even when the viewer has not got the most advantageous place in front of the screen.

The disadvantages (as for the premium status of the model) include an insufficient level of contrast. Although the local multi-zone dimming feature improves black levels, the image is well perceived even in a dimly lit room. But anyway, among the 8K-models of LG, things are much better with the contrast of the OLED77Z1, however, its price tag is several times higher.

The LG 75QNED99 is a well-balanced big TV for the future.
