In front of LG's flagship OLED armada is LG's pre-top NanoCell TV series. A bright model from her is 55NANO86 2021, addressed to the discerning audience and console gamers.
Full HDR support
The 55-inch screen of the model is based on an IPS-matrix with a quantum dot backlight system. It provides increased image brightness, excellent colour reproduction, wide viewing angles in the horizontal and vertical viewing planes. However, due to the small number of local dimming areas, dark and light stripes may be visible on the screen. In addition to traditional HDR10 and HLG, the NANO86 can handle Dolby Vision IQ. It is based on sensors that automatically monitor the illumination.
Powerful hardware component
The hardware part of the TV is headed by the advanced LG α 7 Gen 4 processor. The model supports AMD FreeSync, VRR and ALLM mode. HDR-image in 4K from a connected game console can be broadcast on the TV panel screen at a frame rate of 120 fps. For this, the LG 55NANO86 2021 was equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports. One of them has eARC audio return channel connectivity.
Homebrew smart system
The smart TV system is represented by the webOS 6.0 operating system and is supplemented with Deep ThinQ deep machine learning algorithms. It is proposed to control the operation of the TV panel using the convenient Magic Remote airgun, which is equipped with a built-in microphone for giving voice commands to the Google Assistant virtual apprentice. The audio system on board the LG 55NANO86 2021 is formed from two 10W full-range speakers. It sounds good, but still inferior to other venerable peers, if only because of the lack of a subwoofer for pumping the bass component.
