A flash drive is just a flash drive; the body is metal, but in thickness, it's closer to foil :) Don't expect it to be indestructible :) As for the claimed speeds, I measured with large files of 6-7GB using an SSD. Write speeds are 33-40MB/s (though the readings jump twice per second). Reading starts at 171MB/s and ends at 150MB/s. Overall, it's better than its counterparts at the same price, like the 64GB SanDisk, which starts writing at 25MB/s, then heats up after 10 seconds and drops to 13-15MB/s. For home use and considering its price, it will do, but of course, it would be nice to see at least 80-85% of the claimed write speed.
