The American company JBL has been producing audio equipment for home and professional use for several decades. Tune is a column for those who love a flexible combination of portability and functionality.
Thought out to the smallest detail
Acoustics in a compact ergonomic case measuring 80x145x32 mm and weighing 340 g is available in black, blue and silver. The form factor impresses with a flat rectangular shape with rounded corners. Such a product can easily fit in a pocket, purse and will not be scratched during transportation due to the presence of a soft fabric cover in the kit. It is very useful here, since the building is frankly "home", not for the street. There is no dust and water protection, plugs for connectors, too, and, in general, the column looks too delicate for outdoor use.
However, the device can easily be mounted on a backpack, belt. For this there is a special strap on the carabiner. The package also includes an audio cable with a mini-Jack connector (3.5 mm) and a microUSB charging cable.
Portable Harvester
For all its compactness, the system is favorably distinguished by two speakers with a total power of 5 watts. But don't expect miracles from them. There are practically no low frequencies here, and there are more high frequencies than we would like. The same JBL Clip2 sounds an order of magnitude juicier and denser, although even smaller in size.
But Tune has a radio, a fairly high-quality microphone for hands-free calls, a nice display, as well as a whole set of additional connectors that you could wish for: USB A for connecting a Flash drive, a microSD card reader and even a headphone output. In general, generous compensation for not the best sound.
battery life
In terms of battery life, everything is also pretty average. The built-in battery provides about 5 hours of operation at medium volume, and it takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge.
JBL Tune will please, first of all, with a wealth of functions and settings. Here they are really a complete set, but the price for it is not small — $ 70. For such money, I would like a stronger case and better sound.
