Ibanez RC520

The Japanese company Ibanez is famous for its quality guitars at an affordable price. The RC520 Roadstar is a vintage model with a 1962 Fender Jaguar body shape.

The instrument is offered in three colour options with a white body edging : sea green, red apple and the mysterious stream green, which actually looks like regular blue.

The “hardware” of the guitar largely repeats the “hardware” of the Les Paul, with the exception of the bolted connection of the neck. The same two passive humbuckers with cut-off (neck closed), fixed bridge, pickguard and even a mahogany body. But the neck is purely "Ibanese". 22 medium frets, standard scale, pegs in a row. However, the mechanics are also branded, the Tight-Tune bridge with strings attached through the body.

With threesome sound

The sound of the guitar is revealed in all ranges, but there is some fuzziness and lack of clarity inherent in the classic Ibanez models. At the same time, "sandiness" has not gone away. If this was an attempt to make the Roadstar a universal model that could simultaneously replace Les Paul with his rich sustain and Ibanez lead guitars for those who like to play expressive solos, then it failed.

Despite the external beauty and a good technical component, for 700 usd, which the manufacturer asks for the RC520, you can find a better tool.
