Outdated Product
An entry-level electric guitar from the GIO series, designed for beginners who want to start playing hard rock and metal with minimal investment. The Ibanez GRX40 represents one of the most affordable models in the GIO lineup, which for years has been a recognizable entry point into the world of Ibanez for budding guitarists. Featuring an HSS pickup configuration (humbucker plus two singles), it provides basic versatility for various styles. The three Infinity pickups in a traditional layout offer a decent dynamic range: the humbucker in the bridge position delivers a tight sound for rock, while singles provide cleaner tones for blues and pop music. A five-way switch allows selecting between different pickup combinations. The maple neck with a GRX profile and a jatoba fretboard (an alternative to rosewood) is designed for relatively fast playing and comfortable string pressing....The 22 medium-sized frets make it comfortable for beginners, although the range is two frets fewer than more advanced models with 24 frets. The 25.5" scale length is standard, providing a bright attack and note clarity. The poplar body offers balanced sound with sufficient density for a budget instrument. Thanks to the well-balanced body shape, the Ibanez GRX40 is equally comfortable to play both standing and sitting.
