“Under the hood” of the Huter SGC 5500B snowplow is a 7.5 “horse” petrol engine. Due to its power, the device not only moves under its own power (there are 5 gears for moving forward and 2 back), but also turns a toothed auger that grinds the snow mass. In one pass, the machine can make paths 62 cm wide. The maximum bucket grip height is 54 cm (you can clean sidewalks after heavy snowfalls or dismantle snowdrifts), but the optimal thickness of the snow cover for work is about 20 – 30 cm. According to user reviews, dry snow it is thrown by 10 metres, and wet and dense — by 5 – 6. The direction of rotation of the chute can be changed on the go (however, the “turn” intended for this is not very convenient), and the ejection range is only directly on the bell itself. For convenient and easy starting of the engine, the snow blower is equipped with a battery (a regular 12 V battery is used, like those that are placed on a UPS). There is a headlight, but many note that it is dim, and it is easier to attach a flashlight to your forehead than to use a standard lamp.
