The main advantage of the Swedish spindle mower Husqvarna HiCut 64, which distinguishes it from similar devices, is the ability to work with thick tall grass, which makes this model the best choice for rare mowing of garden lawns. The hand mower uses a cutting pair of a rotating cylindrical drum with 5 strong wear-resistant knives and a fixed counter-knife mounted on the trolley body. The sharpened blades allow you to use garden tools straight out of the box. The width of the mowing front, determined by the dimensions of the cutting mechanism, is 40 cm. The grass cutting height is easily and smoothly adjusted within 12 – 56 mm using two screws located on the sides of the rear support shaft bracket, on which the installation scale is applied.
Expensive pleasure
A protective casing (deck) made of steel closes the cutting block, protecting the knives from damage. The trolley is equipped with two durable plastic wheels with a diameter of 221 mm with a herringbone pattern rubber tread, which ensure smooth and easy movement of the device during grass cutting. The bicycle handle in this model is not adjustable in height and folds only when the compound tube fastening nut is loosened, which is not very convenient for transportation and storage. A reasonable balance between the materials used in the design provided the lawn mower with an acceptable weight of 8.7 kg for comfortable work. A useful accessory for the device can be a grass catcher, which should be purchased separately. A serious disadvantage of garden tools is its unreasonably high price.
