Communicator HTC T3333 Touch 2 can be conditionally classified as an entry-level device. This model, being an updated version of HTC Touch in 2007, is the base in the line of communicators of the Touch series in terms of the set of functions.
Touch 2 is made in a monoblock form factor. The case is made of plastic with a metal edging on the sides and ends.
The most striking characteristic feature of the Touch 2 is that it is maximally “sharpened” for using the touch screen and finger controls. The hardware keyboard is reduced to the limit: there is no joystick at all, on the front panel there are only the keys for receiving and rejecting a call, "Home", "Main Menu" and "Back". Their design is quite controversial from the point of view of ergonomics: a flat plate and small keys can cause difficulties for users with large fingers. On the other hand, all functions are duplicated on the touch screen.
There are two additional keys — these are paired volume buttons on the left side of the device, which also serve to scroll text. There is also a touch plate under the screen, which is used to change the scale. There is no separate off button.
The mesh above the screen hides not only the speaker, but also the signal LED.
On the left side of the device there is also a slot for a memory card, to access which you need to remove the back cover — a detail that is doubtful in its rationality, especially if you need to change cards frequently. At the bottom there is a microphone and a branded ExtUSB connector, compatible with a regular Mini-USB connector. For wired headsets, a standard 3.5 mm port is provided on the top end. The stylus slot is located in the lower right corner of the device. The stylus itself is non-folding, medium length (about 7.5 cm), relatively light, due to which users who are accustomed to heavier and longer nibs may need some time to get used to. On the other hand, the Touch Flo 2D software shell is designed to use predominantly finger control.
The Reset key is located under the head of the stylus, and to press it you need to remove the cover.
The camera is located on the back of the device, next to it is an external speaker.
The Touch 2 touch screen is made using resistive technology. It is not recessed into the body, due to which it is quite sensitive to scratches. Viewing angles are wide enough. There is no light sensor, brightness adjustment is carried out only manually. Under sunlight, the image strongly "fades". There is no option to change the screen orientation.
The device's media player is designed to play almost all popular audio and video formats. There is an FM-receiver and a voice recorder with the ability to record a conversation. Bluetooth stereo headsets are supported.
The built-in 3.1 megapixel camera does not have autofocus, flash and mirror. Panoramic shooting mode is provided. There is no additional camera for video calls.
Google Maps is used for GPS navigation. Provides for the use of Assisted GPS — positioning on the signals of cellular stations. The package comes with a mains charger, a cable for connecting to a PC and a wired stereo headset.
