In the lower part of the body of the device there is a fan and a compressor with an evaporator. Above them is an internal steel tank, with a built-in spiral heat exchanger - the "coil" of the condenser.

This design works on the principle of a refrigerator, but vice versa - it extracts heat from the environment, after which the thermal energy is amplified by the compressor and goes into water, and cold air is thrown out. Hotpoint-Ariston LYDOS HYBRID 80 water heater can operate in 4 different modes. Maximum economy mode - "Green" uses only the heat pump and consumes only 200 watts of electricity.

The hot water temperature can reach up to 53 °C. Standard mode - "I-Memory" automatically optimizes power consumption by analyzing daily consumption based on 4 weeks of data. In the "Boost" mode, the water heater simultaneously heats the water with a heat pump and a heating element (1.2 kW) for maximum time savings. It is also possible to use two user programs that can work either separately or alternately during the day, combining the operation of the heat pump and the electric heater at the request of the user.
