Hansa is a budget German brand, the advantage of which is that it produces its products exclusively in Europe. In particular, the BHCI66306 hob is made in Poland.

Always within limits

The design is simple, without frills, but with a steel protective frame. And this is good, as it protects the surface from chipping. 4 burners with a total power of 6.5 kW in three sizes 14.5, 18, 21 cm allow you to place almost any cookware, except oval ones. None of the working zones have additional contours, although a 12 cm zone would not hurt for Turks and other dishes with a small bottom.

Ease of Management

After studying the simple touch controls, we came to the conclusion that the panel lacks any timer and some other convenient functions. Actually, apart from a digital indication of the heating level and child lock, there is really nothing else on the control panel. Well, perhaps the residual heat indicator, which lights up when the burner temperature exceeds 65º C. But such an indication in electric hobs is commonplace.

Some useful things

To be fair, we note that the Germans did not leave their brainchild completely without convenient and pleasant options for housewives to facilitate the cooking process. The “Automatic Boil” function automatically reduces the power of the burner after the time allotted for the set power mode has elapsed. And the protective shutdown of heating zones will work after an hour or 10 hours, depending on the installed power, if you forget to turn off the surface and leave to do other things.

Despite its excessive simplicity, Hansa BHCI66306 significantly outperforms more famous brands in terms of cost. For the surface you will have to pay only $240, and this is 30–40% cheaper than the products of the grandees. This circumstance is captivating. And the quality, in principle, is not worse.
