Model overview based on user reviews
The Hankook Winter I*Cept iZ2 W616 tires are generally well-received for their softness, quietness, and confident performance on snow. Many users appreciate their handling on dry and wet pavements, as well as their ability to maintain flexibility in extreme northern climates. However, some reviews highlight concerns about their performance on ice, with reports of sliding and the need for cautious driving. The tires are praised for their excellent traction on snow and wet surfaces, but some users note that they may not be the best choice for icy conditions. Overall, the tires offer a good balance of price and quality, making them a popular choice for winter driving, although they may not be ideal for those seeking maximum grip on ice.

Happy with the rubber.

Soft, silent. Wet snow, slush, compacted, loose - excellent. Fast acceleration, stopping - excellent. On ice of course you need to be careful - it slides, but predictably. Sometimes the ABS activates during braking. Lacetti. 185/65 r15. Before this, there was Barum Polaris2, the Hankook W616 behaves much more confidently. For its price - excellent tires.
Soft, silent, confident ride on snow.
Like all Velcro - ice.

great model, love it

Good tires, I'm riding for the third season, not a single puncture, the remainder is good. On the road it behaves adequately, but when there is ice it slips, but otherwise it is completely comfortable, not hard, but not soft either. In principle, for the price it’s quite satisfactory, I recommend it
Controllable, balanced, wear-resistant
slippery in icy conditions

great model, I really liked it

Predictably and always confidently behaves on different types of surfaces. When the temperature outside ranges from +10 to -10, it is necessary to increase the tire pressure above the norm by 0.3-0.5 atm. If the temperature is below -10, then it really reveals its potential and does not stiffen. For a size of 185/60 R14, I inflate to 2.5 atm at positive temperatures, in the range from 0 to -10, I inflate to 2.2 - 2.3 atm. The directional tread pattern is both a "+" and a "-" at the same time with all the ensuing effects.
Completely predictable performance. Stays flexible. Suitable for extreme northern climates. Performs well in mud, can handle it. Price. Competes with Yokohama Ice Guard IG50+ and Bridgestone Blizzak Revo GZ (only falls short in lateral stability).
Not resistant to lateral drift. There is a need to increase pressure above normal at temperatures above -10.

Comfortable driving conditions in the cold season and confidence in the behavior of the car on snowy roads are able to provide winter friction tyres Hankook Winter i * cept iZ2 W616.

V-tread

The unidirectional tread pattern of the tyre qualitatively cleans the contact patch from melted masses of snow, as a result, the grip properties of the tyre with the road are significantly improved. Traction when starting off on loose or packed snow is increased by the so-called “grasping claws” — sharp three-dimensional edges on the tread. And the sloping, sharp edges of the sipes improve braking.

Confident Responsiveness

Without going deeper into the technical side of the issue, it is worth noting the really confident rubber responsiveness on snowy and icy road sections. Hankook Winter i*cept iZ2 W616 is only afraid of pure ice, which is to be expected from winter non-studded Velcro. Test results and feedback from model owners confirm the tyre's predictable behavior on snow under the vagaries of winter weather.

Due Security

The elasticity of the tyre does not change with the downward creep of the thermometer. Silica particles included in the rubber compound of the tyre help to maintain its softness. They also reduce the rolling resistance of the tyre. Without studs, Hankook Winter i*cept iZ2 W616 provides a high level of safety and comfort when traveling even in the harshest winter conditions.
