Inexpensive card reader

Ginzzu GR-589UB is a small and inexpensive utility card reader that does its job well. Outwardly and in size, it resembles an ordinary USB flash drive and easily fits in a jeans pocket or compartment of a bag with a camera.

Two ports are better than one

The main distinguishing feature of the Ginzzu GR-589UB is the presence of two different USB ports for copying data. On one side of the card reader there is a regular USB for connecting to a computer or laptop, while on the other end you can find a Micro USB output for connecting to a smartphone.

Works with smartphones

Thanks to this, a memory card can be connected directly to a smartphone like a regular USB flash drive and view photos and videos directly from a smartphone without being tied to a laptop. A useful little thing that can sometimes help out a lot.

To give the flash drive a less aggressive look, there is a clear plastic shroud on top of the case that rotates freely around the case. It is needed to cover one of the USB connectors, which is not needed at the moment.

USB 3.0 support

Ginzzu GR-589UB can work with three types of cards — SD, MicroSD and MMC. Thanks to the support of USB class 3.0, the card reader quickly transfers information from a memory card to a hard drive. In tests, the maximum read speed was about 145 Mb / s. In general, the speed varies depending on the type and class of the memory card.
