How to choose a gaming keyboardLet's look at the differences between the types of switches and additional equipment for gaming keyboards
Model overview based on user reviews
The Gembird KB-UML3-01 is a budget-friendly, wired gaming keyboard that offers bright illumination in three colors (red, blue, and magenta) with adjustable brightness levels. Users appreciate its compact and lightweight design, making it easy to handle and clean. However, the keyboard has some drawbacks, such as soft key travel that may not suit gamers, and issues with key durability, as some keys tend to wear off or stick over time. The backlight, while bright, is not very uniform, and there can be a barely noticeable buzzing at low brightness. Despite these issues, many users find it a decent option for typing and value its affordability, though it may not be ideal for long-term gaming use.

Excellent clave, with its shortcomings. But it's worth every penny.

The buttons are pressed very softly, so this keyboard is not very suitable for gamers. This is my opinion and many will disagree. I myself sometimes play, but I like the key to immediately shoot back. It's like floating on the waves. But, on the other hand, now at night you can almost silently scribble texts, for which I actually bought it, as my wife often complained. The backlight is not very uniform, but quite bright. There are only three colors, blue, magenta and red. The keyboard itself is quite light and compact. Plastic is not smelly, but creaky))) Some compromises :D On the other hand, what do you want for this money? Personally, I did not expect a miracle, for my money it is excellent, maybe it costs 10 times cheaper than the top ones.
Bright illumination (three colors). Doesn't smell like plastic. It doesn't look cheap. Compact and lightweight, but does not flex like cardboard.
Squeaks in places. I don't like soft key travel, but for some it will be a plus.

Decent membrane for typing. If playing... No.

I wanted one with backlighting :) This is the cheapest and coolest option I could find. As for the downside, I can touch type. If it wears off, it's not a problem. But the fact that it has ALREADY started to fade is, of course, disappointing.
Bright backlight. Three colors: red, blue, pink. There are three brightness levels.
Does not squeak.
I've been using it for about a week and a half. And the "D" key is already half worn out. I think its downside is the very thin coating on the keys. My previous keyboard, for the same price, lasted about 2 years before it started to wear off.

normal model, nothing special

Purchased in 2021. I like the uniform backlighting, without a rainbow of colors, and the brightness can be adjusted. I only use the white-blue backlight. On the downside, the short Enter key and low-quality keys are issues. After 8 months of use, the keys started to stick, beginning with the left Shift key, as it is most often used for capital letters when typing. It also frequently disconnects from the PC, and the backlight color resets to red. Unfortunately, this keyboard does not seem designed for years of use.
Uniform backlight, different colors
The keys get stuck and the backlight switches.
