I have long wanted a camera with a helmet mount, but I categorically did not want to buy cheap Chinese, and GoPro was expensive, and even with its small and not very bugs in the firmware, it was pissing to take. And Garmin, it's over, handsome, they made a test device. Not cheap, obviously, but worth it. The main feature of the camera is, of course, its dust and water resistance without the use of a special box, and you can dive to a depth of 50 m. Yes, such boxes are included in the delivery of almost any similar camera, but it’s worth it to remove and not bother installing it. The camera writes honest Full HD resolution at 30 fps and thanks to high-quality electronic stabilization it looks great. In addition, the camera records sound quite well. It is important that the microphone is located on the back side, which means that when moving quickly, the oncoming air flow does not create hellish noise. And the sound is recorded even under water, at a depth of up to 50 meters. The camera has a built-in GPS tracker, a WiFi module for connecting a smartphone and bluetooth support. It can also be turned on for recording from a cold state with one movement of your finger, which is very convenient when you need to start shooting as quickly as possible. Photos, by the way, are obtained quite decent quality. Due to the lack of a large color screen, the camera is economical and can record almost two hours of Full HD video on a single charge of the lithium-ion battery. The cable for charging and data transfer from the camera is unique, and if you lose it, then it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to buy a second one. And yet, when connected to charging, the camera spontaneously turns on and if it is not turned off forcibly, it will also noticeably warm up. |
