Model overview based on user reviews
The Gamemax GMX-WFBK BK fan is a budget-friendly cooling solution, praised for its quiet operation and affordable price. Users appreciate the Molex and 3-pin connection options, along with the inclusion of rubber inserts that help reduce vibration. Despite its low cost, the fan is noted for its durability, with one user mentioning it continued to function even after a blade was broken. While the plastic may be somewhat fragile, the fan's low noise level and effective performance make it a worthwhile purchase, especially for those seeking a cost-effective option. However, it is not designed for servicing, and its low speed contributes to its quietness. Overall, the Gamemax GMX-WFBK BK is a reliable choice for basic cooling needs.
Pros
Cons
I chose mainly for the price, as for $ 2.4 it is quite a suitable option, quiet, rubber inserts to reduce vibration, several options for connecting Molex + 3 pins for connection, rubber inserts to reduce vibration, price, quiet Not found |
I've been using them for over a year. Bought four of them right away in 2019 (GMX-WFBK white). Then in spring 2020, I got 2 more (GMX-WFBK black). In 2020, they come with anti-vibration pads. Out of curiosity, I took one apart completely. Broke a blade. Even without one blade, the thing worked fine.)) The plastic is weak and crumbles with enough force. My units vary by only 5 Ohms in resistance. This model is not serviceable unless you have a drill handy. ;) But I haven't needed to lubricate them yet. The fans aren't high-speed. Maybe that's why they're quiet. I didn't measure the airflow! But three for exhaust and two for intake are more than enough to replace heated air with cold. - Cheap. - Quiet. - Has MOLEX for connecting to a fan controller. - Vibration pads. - Unattended. |
