I love beautiful things, especially things that catch my eye every day. Therefore, the choice of a water heater for me was not only a study and comparison of technical characteristics, but also an overview of design solutions. Based on a combination of factors, I chose the EWH 50 Royal model from Electrolux. It looks great, the filling is of high quality, and the brand is well-known enough not to worry about a possible failure in the next few years. Outwardly, this is the best boiler of those models that are now available for purchase. Looks great, real high-tech plumbing. The stainless steel water storage tank is an excellent solution to the main problem of water heaters - the corrosion damage of steel tanks. True, why a protective anode made of magnesium alloy is also installed in such a boiler, I do not understand. It can work at half the power of the heating element and in economy mode (heating water only up to 55 degrees). It quickly gains temperature. Fully warms up the tank in just over an hour. However, operating experience has shown that this speed is obtained not only thanks to a powerful heating element. Apparently, design features also affect, due to which, in fact, not the entire volume of the tank warms up. But about the sad below. Even after heating the water to the maximum temperature, no more than 30 liters of really hot water is obtained. After that, the temperature begins to drop rapidly and after 40 liters it becomes barely warm. For me personally, thirty liters is enough for a shower, but 50 liters are stated. |
i do not recommend buying everything was fine until it started leaking (see below). In use for no more than 5-6 months. Not used continuously, in 5 months it was turned on 2-3 times when the hot water (HW) was turned off. Otherwise, it stands empty, drained, and switched off. The connection is slightly advanced: with a check valve and two vents for draining water and supplying air. Recently turned it on, it worked for a day and then I turned it off since they provided HW, didn't drain the water, waited for it to cool, and closed both valves at the heater's inlet. Everything was dry and comfortable, but about 2-3 hours later, intense dripping started from the lower cover (which is for replacing the heating element near the cold water inlet). Removed the cover to replace the heating element - water inside at the bottom (between the tank bottom and the lower cover, where the wires, heating element, thermostat, etc. are). Wiped it dry, soaked everything inside with toilet paper. Judging by the amount drained and soaked, no more than 2-3 liters came out of the heater. It stood for a week with water and didn't leak. The following weekend, the situation repeated exactly. About 2-3 hours after turning off, it leaks in the same place and the same amount. Removed the heating element cover again, soaked it up without draining water from the heater, examined everything with a magnifying glass and flashlight, but it's unclear where it's leaking from. Now, after another "soaking," it's been standing with water for the second day and not leaking. It seems like, due to something (or under some unclear circumstances), a certain amount of water is being squeezed out of it. Now the whole family is without HW and I'm dealing with this hassle... use Electrolux EWH 80 Royal month or more |
I have a 180x80 bathroom and I like to take a bath; when there is no hot water, I fill the bath at a comfortable temperature using two boilers. I heat the water in the boiler to maximum and fill the bathroom with only hot water until warm water starts flowing. I turn off the water and wait for the water to heat up to 55 (about 40 minutes) degrees and again pour it into the bathroom, of course you can’t get in right away. it’s very hot, the rest can be easily diluted with cold and there is a full bath of hot water, and the temperature is hotter than taking a full bath from the same place. For 80 liters it is compact from the wall, works great, heats water very quickly. The design is lovely. I was pleased that you can smoothly adjust the temperature and two power modes, normal and maximum. There is no indicator of the current water temperature in the boiler, but this can easily be checked by turning the temperature regulator down and at the moment when it turns off at a certain temperature, you can determine to what temperature the water is heated. Also included in the kit was a bad check valve, because of it, water flowed from the boiler under low pressure, it was easily solved by replacing the valve with 6 bar and everything was fine.
