Compact dishwasher for a small family
31 January 2017
Small size, takes up little space. Our kitchen is small, 6.5 square meters, so this is important for us. The basket capacity is small, but for my wife and me, it's more than enough. To fully load it, one dinner for the two of us isn't quite enough. However, if you also put in pots, it becomes quite feasible. We fully utilize the dishwasher's space when we have guests or when our kids and grandkids come over for dinner. When the right mode is selected, the machine washes efficiently, and there are six modes in total. We mainly use the eco mode. It does last nearly three hours, but otherwise, it's good. It uses a minimal amount of water and also saves on electricity. For the dirtiest dishes, like a frying pan after cooking meat, my wife uses the intensive program. Washing in this mode also takes time, but it cleans excellently. It's controlled electronically. We didn't figure it out immediately, but the instructions are clear, and after reading them, we had no more questions. There is a timer that delays washing to a set time. But washing dishes at night is not very convenient. In the silence, the sound is heard throughout the apartment, and we have no kitchen doors.
The dishwasher only has one spray arm, so it can't wash a heavily soiled pot effectively from the bottom. It handles light dirt fine, but stubborn grease doesn't come off at all. In eco mode, the cycle lasts almost three hours. However, on the other hand, if it's just about a few "fresh" plates, bowls, or cups, you can use the quick program. Granted, it's quick because there's no drying, but that's not too important.
