The new generation of media players from the Taiwanese brand Dune, announced to the public at the very dawn of 2018, has become even more advanced from a functional point of view compared to previous generations. To a large extent, this was facilitated by the transition to the "OS" Android 6.0.
Elder in the family
The 4K T2 Plus model is the senior representative of the Neo series — not only did it get support for receiving and interpreting digital terrestrial broadcasting signals, but in addition the device acquired increased memory capacities: 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM. The built-in storage can be used to install applications and store downloaded movies, and the set-top box can also be equipped with a microSD flash drive or connected to an external drive via one of a pair of USB ports.
Interface set
Under the aforementioned connectors, the right side of the Dune HD Neo 4K T2 Plus case is given. Even more wired interfaces can be found on the back: HDMI 2.0, Ethernet port, AV / OUT, optical output and power connector. The design of the set-top box did not do without Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication modules — an indispensable attribute of a modern media centre for TV.
Universal Soldier
The set-top box plays any videos in 4K format with 10-bit colour depth and speed up to 60 fps, including HDR content. Powerful hardware also handles with "three-dimensional" video (3D) without the slightest hesitation. The final touch is full support for Blu-ray images, which raises the model to the rank of a universal solution that can satisfy the requirements of the most sophisticated cinephiles.
