Simple tile cutting equipment
Having a rather modest 600-watt engine, the Dnipro-M TS-180 tile cutter, however, successfully handles with cutting finishing materials. He very cheerfully cuts tiles and ceramic tiles up to 10 – 12 mm thick using a standard disc. The manufacturer claims that the device can also cut thicker products, such as 25 mm porcelain stoneware or marble, but practice shows that the Dnipro-M machine can barely cope with sawing materials of similar thickness, almost at the limit of its capabilities (especially since that the engine has a tendency to overheat, especially under load).
"Pros and cons"
The attachments that are included in the delivery set allow you to make various types of cuts: straight, diagonal (there is an angular stop for such tasks) and at an angle. Rulers for marking are squeezed out on the surface of the table. The table tilts up to 45°. But the size of the working platform is not impressive — only 330x360 mm. This “back to back” is enough to work with a 20x20 cm tile, but cutting a larger one will require some skill.
The device works quite quietly and practically does not generate dust, because it has a bath for water cooling of the disk. But, like many "low-cost" class electric tile cutters, the machine loves to splash water from under the protective cover, and you will need to adapt some kind of splash guard so as not to stand in a puddle of water during operation.
Inexpensive tile cutting machine for do-it-yourself repairs
Inexpensive (price around $ 80) machine "Dnipro-M" TS-180 is perfect for those who independently lay tiles in their bathroom or kitchen during repairs. Despite some inconveniences in the form of low power, splashes and pauses for engine cooling, it makes the work of the tiler much more comfortable and performant.
