The planing depth is adjustable from zero to 2 mm (the regulator scale is marked in 0.1 mm increments, which allows the DeWALT DCP580P2 planer to be used for operations that require precision and accuracy). Shavings are ejected through an opening on the right side of the body. The nozzle is round and complies with the AIRLOCK system, so DeWALT construction vacuum cleaners can be connected to it.
