 | Outdated Product A cordless planer with a brushless motor, designed for forming flat surfaces, chamfering and selecting quarters up to 9 mm deep. The tool has a support platform with a width of 82 mm. On its front part there is one V-shaped groove, which helps to quickly and accurately make chamfers at an angle of 45 degrees, and on the rear half there is a support shoe (a spring-loaded "heel" to prevent accidental damage to the surface of the workpiece). When working with soft wood, the DeWALT DCP580NT planer can remove a layer of material up to 2 mm thick in one pass. The planing depth is adjusted using a rotary regulator, the scale of which is marked with a step of 0.1 mm. The chips, which are ejected through a round pipe on the right side of the body, can be collected in a dust collector (included) or...removed using a construction vacuum cleaner. In this configuration, the planer is supplied with a rip fence and a plastic TSTAK box, but without a battery and charger. The power source should be batteries from the DeWALT 18V XR family. |
