The Cougar VTE VTE600 power supply is based on a reliable hardware platform with advanced circuitry based on a combination of an LLC converter, a synchronous rectifier and DC-DC converters. The design uses a high-quality element base, including Japanese electrolytic capacitors of high temperature series. Thanks to successful engineering solutions, the unit can demonstrate a decent level of energy efficiency (80 Plus Bronze with an efficiency of 87%). It is able to provide flawless stabilization of all channels and give up to 90% of nameplate power (current up to 45 A) through the + 12V line. The device is cooled by an automatically adjustable ultra-quiet 120 mm fan with a long life bearing.
